Once called the reigning queen of Bollywood Rani Mukherjee now desperately needs some magic to score a hit at the box-office after her three films flopped at the box-office in 2007.

And perhaps magic is the reason she's playing an angel in Yash Raj's next big release Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic. In a chat with the actress, Rani spoke about her forthcoming film and her marriage rumours.

The Bhaidas Hall in Vile Parle is an unlikely place for Rani Mukherji to announce her comeback to Bollywood.

But that is where the gorgeous actress is, surrounded by kids who clutch her long flowing skirt while she sings and dances with them on the songs of Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic , in which she is playing an angel. The kids are excited and keep screaming, "Rani didi, Rani didi." Didi is fun and games, and one hour later, she turns apologetically and says, "Now I'm all yours, ask me whatever you want."

"Well, there were no traumatic experiences to write home about. Rani wanted to get married and settle down during Mujhse Dosti Karoge. It took some convincing to get that thought off her mind. Today, she's one of the finest actresses we have with an enviable repertoire. Saif has matured as an actor too. I couldn't be happier for them."

Filmmaker Kunal Kohli, who has turned producer with `Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic', says he always wanted to be a director-producer to own the movies he makes.

Speaking about Rani Mukherji, Kohli said her repertoire of work in the last few years has a varied range which no other actress of recent times can match.

This is the third movie that they are starring together after the super hit Hum Tum (directed by Kunal Kohli himself) and Tara Rum pam ( a downer).

This is Kohli’ second movie after Hum Tum and Fanaah both hits at the box office

Thoda Pyar Thoda magic is slated to release in June with a music release in May. It is aimed at children. It features Rani playing the role of a fairy. The film also has four kids in lead characters and is thought to be in the lines of ‘Mr. India`, `Krissh` and `Koi Mil Gaya

It is rumored to be inspired by two Hollywood flicks, the classic Mary Poppins and the recent nanny McPhee. The story line is- Saif is saddled with 4 orphans who come to live with him and things don’t go well. Now Rani is a fairy who comes to their rescue and changes their heart and lives.

In Kunal Kohli’s next starring Rani-Saif, Rani is required to sport a lean look. Reveals a source close to the Bengali actress, “Rani tends to put on weight easily. She has a craving for sweets and loves to gorge on them. But in the past few months she has been extra careful about what she eats and has been following a rigorous workout schedule.”

Rani Mukerji is one of the few actresses to be doing this. Kunal Kohli's next film (untitled as yet) will see the actress in just one costume from the first frame to the last. The costume has been designed by Manish Malhotra.

A source close to Yash Raj Films, who will present the film with Kohli, confirms, "Yes. Rani is only wearing one costume in the film. It is a challenge because it has to be simple yet attractive."
